Instructor Bio
My name is Julie Lizotte and I live in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. I started doing agility in 1999 with my first dog, a golden retriever, named Brodie. He was a very special boy and went on to become a National Champion in 2003. In 2001, I got my first border collie, Webber, and he changed my life. I started training more seriously and started attending seminars to develop my skills as a dog trainer and agility competitor.
In 2013, I qualified and attending my first international competition with my second border collie, Pixie. Pixie is my little super BC who has has won a National Championship 3 times and has taken me all over Europe competing as a member of the CKC Canadian Agility Team for the last 7 years. She has competed at the European Open, the Border Collie Classic, and several other large competitions. Pixie has just turned 10 and she is now retired from international travel.
Tux is my young talented male BC who earned a wildcard spot on the CKC Canadian Agility Team and competed at EO this past summer and did amazingly well for two years old. His future looks bright and I am excited to continue working and learning with him.
Over the last 10 years, I have trained with some of the worlds best agility competitors and dog trainers; Tamas Tráj, Lisa Frick, Teresa Kralova, Manca Mikec, Zeljko Gora, Silvia Trkman, Polona Bonac, and Justine Davenport. Since starting in agility 20 years ago, I have been actively involved in agility at the local, regional, national, and international levels. I have had many roles in agility from competitor, coach, club president, regional representative, trial host, event organizer, and judge.
