About Judge Claudette Mo:
Claudette is an agility competitor, instructor and judge. She has been on World Teams with 2 of her poodles, Simba and Nacho. Simba was a double team gold medalist, as well as individual bronze medalist at the 2016 Americas & Caribe FCI Championship in Medellin, Colombia. Nacho is the 2021 US Open champion in Biathlon and will be representing Team USA at the 2022 WAO in the Netherlands.

Claudette is an instructor at Canine Sports Zone, Middleton, WI, where she teaches advanced classes in handling and strategies for international style courses. She has trained under Brazilian coach and World Champion Jose Luiz and attended handling seminars with Tobias Wust, Daniel Schroeder, Tamas Traj, Polona Bonac, Pavol Vakonic, and Vendula Hausnerova among others.

As a judge, her style is heavily influenced by European judges with whom she worked on course design: Petr Pupik, Jan Egil Eide, Tamas Traj, Zsofi Biro, Gabriel Arriagada Osses, and Vendula Hausnerova. Petr Pupik published his second Advent Calendar in December 2021, with courses especially designed by judges from all over the world, including Jan Egil Eide, Thora Van Der Stock, Reeta Pirttikoski, Jari Suomalainen, Rene Blank, Daniel Walz, and invited Claudette to contribute a course for the Advent Calendar as the sole USA judge. Claudette strives to create flowy, fast courses, with good lines for dogs and challenges that test skills, partnership, and promote development of agility as a sport at the international level.

A great organization to start young dogs in!
UKI offers 3 great ways to help maintain clear criteria in competition:

  • NFC runs - bring a toy in the ring to reward and train!

  • Food reward area - a designated enclosure will be available adjacent to the ring for giving food rewards during a declared NFC run.

  • “Repeat and Move On (RMO)” - team is allowed to repeat something if the handler’s criteria is not met.

See rulebook, page 33, section 4.12 for details on the above.
